FRONT ENTRY GATE
The Board filed a Police Report with the Marion County Sheriff's Office and provided them with video of the incident. In addition the State Police and the Ocala Police were contacted as well, in case the person that drove through the gate was pulled over. We also notified the Insurance Company of the incident, we were advised to obtain bids, we also verified that our deductible is $2500. Attempts were made to secure three bids to replace/repair the gate and were presented to the Director's at the meeting on June 17, 2019. A bid of $4500 to replace the gate and a bid of $1000 to repair the gate was considered by the Director's and taking into consideration the financial condition of our Association the Director's voted to repair the existing gate. The opening in the fence is for a pedestrian gate. Several of the Community's children catch the school bus at our entrance and were pushing on the gate to get out to catch the bus. This was leaving a gap between the gate and the post not allowing the gate to properly close. Therefore, the Board voted to install a pedestrian gate to prevent continued damage to the main gate. At this time, the pedestrian gate is scheduled to be installed on or about Wednesday, June 26th, however we do not have a scheduled date for the completion of the Entry Gate.
